Fake Love

In the realm of deceit and pretend,

Where hearts dance with a false blend,

There blooms a flower, a love so fake,

A mirage of affection, a painful mistake.

Like sugar-coated words, so sweetly spoken,

But beneath the surface, a bond broken,

A façade of emotions, a scripted play,

Where real love diminishes, day by day.

Oh, how it masquerades, with a cunning smile,

But the eyes betray, the truth, all the while,

For in the depths of this charade, it's clear,

That love's true essence, it does not adhere.

It's a frail illusion, a shadow in the night,

A flickering flame, devoid of genuine light,

For true love thrives on trust and sincerity,

Not on the echoes of a hollow, empty plea.

So let us seek love that's real and pure,

Where hearts align, and emotions endure,

For fake love may glimmer, but it cannot last,

In the presence of true love's undying cast.
